FAQs

Do you deliver?

We do not deliver. We offer take out and dine in only. We believe by doing so, we can offer the highest quality pizza and service. We want to inform our customers that restaurant delivery services almost always add high surcharges to menu items as well as delivery fees. If you chose to use a restaurant delivery service please understand we cannot control the quality of the food or service you receive and we would be unable to offer any compensation for problems with your order. Thank you!

Can I order a partially cooked pizza to finish at home?

Ordering a pizza “half-baked” is a great option if you don’t want to eat our pizza right away. We will partially cook your pizza and you can finish cooking it at your convenience. We stock a few “ready-to-go” half-baked options at all four locations. These sell on a “first come, first served” basis, though, so please call ahead if you have a special half-baked pizza in mind for dinner.
Side note: Zachary’s half-baked pizzas travel well! Customers regularly drive and fly pizzas across the country. Bring some Bay Area pizza love to your far-away friends and family!

Do you take reservations?

At our Oakland and Berkeley locations, we accept walk-ins only. Seating is first come, first served. If the restaurant is full, you will be able to order your pizzas once you have received an estimated wait time for your table. This way your pizzas will cook while you wait!

At our San Ramon location, we accept RESERVATIONS based on availability. We always welcome walk-ins. On the weekends, we require all parties to order pizzas when making the reservation, so the pizzas will be ready shortly after arrival. Please call Zachary’s San Ramon (925) 244-1222 for more information.

At our Pleasant Hill location, lunch and early dinner RESERVATIONS are available Monday – Thursday 11 – 5:30 and Friday 11-2:30. We’ll take your order in advance so your pizzas are ready shortly after you arrive!

Can I place an order over the phone and then come to dine in the restaurant?

At our Oakland and Berkeley locations, we take dine-in orders over the phone 11 am- 4 pm only. We encourage you to order in advance, but the seating is first come, first served. For phone orders after 4 pm, we are only able to accept take-out orders. If there is a wait for tables, you will be able to order your pizza after you receive an estimated wait time.

At our San Ramon location, we take dine-in orders over the phone during all business hours and we will make a reservation for you when you place your order.
At our Pleasant Hill location, we take dine in orders and reservations Monday-Thursday 11-5:30 and on Fridays 11-2:30.

What is the difference between Zachary’s STUFFED & THIN pizza?

Not to be confused with “Sicilian” style, “Stuffed Crust” or other “deep dish” pizzas, Zachary’s Stuffed Chicago Style pizza is something else altogether. A thin layer of our house made pizza dough is tucked into a deep dish pizza pan. We fill the pie with the highest quality cheese and any combination of fresh toppings. Another thin layer of dough is then added to cover the filling. The pizza is then topped with our zesty, diced tomato sauce and is slowly cooked in our oven. The top layer of dough will melt into the cheese and seal in flavor as our flaky, buttery crust bakes until it is golden brown. Allow 30-40 minutes for Stuffed Pizzas.

Zachary’s THIN Style pizza is a great choice for those who prefer a more traditional pizza. Our fresh, house made pizza dough is rolled to a moderate thickness and dusted with cornmeal. A specially seasoned, hearty diced tomato sauce is then applied along with the ingredients you choose. Allow 20-30 minutes for Thin Pizzas.

Do you offer nutritional information of your pizza?

Are you hiring?

Zachary’s Pizza is always looking for energetic, highly motivated, and hard-working people to join our wonderful crew in our Oakland, Berkeley, San Ramon, and Pleasant Hill locations.

Where does the Zachary’s Art on your walls come from?

Since the mid-80’s, we have hosted an art contest open to all lovers of Zachary’s. Art is inspired by Zachary’s Chicago Pizza and the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. We proudly display the art at our four locations in Oakland, Berkeley, San Ramon, and Pleasant Hill. Roughly every six months, we rotate the art to give our walls a fresh look.

Do you support any fundraising efforts?
