Every pie is delivered with pride at this employee-owned pizzeria, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Lovers of Chicago-style deep dish pizza don't mind waiting 30 to 40 minutes for the cheesy, gooey, calorie-laden Nirvana that is Zachary's signature stuffed pie. Many of the combinations of toppings that are slathered over tangy tomato sauce are also available on a thin cornmeal crust--though not the favorite spinach and mushroom.

Great for families, this no-frills place is always bustling (there are other locations in Berkeley and San Ramon)....order a "half-baked" pizza to take away and cook in your oven at home.
