Spooky Season is here! And all those goblins, ghouls and ghosts are going to be hungry…We recommend the following tips for Halloween ordering success!

ORDER & PICKUP HALF-BAKES EARLY

Our half-baked pizzas last 4 days in the refrigerator. Beat the crowd by ordering and picking up pizzas the days leading up to Halloween! Easy-to-follow instructions come with each order. Wondering just how easy half-baked pizzas are to finish off at home? Check out our Instagram Story. 

PICKUP EARLY HALLOWEEN DAY

 If you have to pickup on Halloween, we still recommend ordering half-baked pizzas and picking them up early that Monday morning. We open at 11am at all locations. 

ORDER PIZZAS IN ADVANCE

 If you are ordering fully cooked pizzas for pickup on Halloween Day, place your order now to ensure your preferred pickup time. You can order days in advance and have your pizzas delayed for Halloween (or whatever day your event is!). We anticipate a high volume of orders over Halloween weekend and some pickup times may fill up, which is why placing your order early is highly recommended! 

Please note delay orders must be placed over the phone.

Join us at Zachary’s North Berkeley on Tuesday, October 8th for a special treat: a trio from Berkeley High Jazz Band will be performing live from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. As part of the ongoing celebration of Zachary’s North Berkeley’s 40th anniversary this year, we’re excited to host this event, bringing the super talented and vibrant Berkeley High Jazz trio to our restaurant and community!

Whether you’re dining in with us or grabbing takeout, you’ll be part of the celebration- because we’re raffling off two $50 Zachary’s Gift Certificates to one takeout customer and one dine-in guest! To enter, simply fill out one of our raffle slips when picking up your takeout order, and when dropped off at your table with your check. You’ll need to include your name and phone number or email to be entered into the raffle. The two winners will be contacted within 48hrs via their chosen contact.

This National Literacy Month, We’re Turning Pizza into Pages!

As we celebrate 40 incredible years on Solano Avenue, Zachary’s is giving back to the community that’s supported us through every slice. Join us on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays this September for a special cause- bring in a receipt (dated September 1-30, 2024) from Pegasus Books on Solano Ave, and we’ll give you 5% off whole pizzas and donate 10% to the Berkeley Public Library Fund.

Who says you can’t support Solano Ave’s favorite bookstore, promote literacy, and enjoy delicious pizza all in one go? Our goal is to raise $1,000, so let’s make some dough for a great cause. Order up, dig in, and let’s help our community read more, one pizza at a time!

Current initiatives include a new Story Room, children’s area refurbishments, and projects like “Berkeley Builds Readers” and “Conscious Kits” to promote diverse reading and critical thinking for young readers.

It’s a treasure hunt at Zachary’s Grand Lake! We were recently contacted by one of our winning 2023 Zachary’s Art Contest artists who revealed their artwork contained a treasure hunt that had been hanging in plain site since last summer! And since this week is our 41st anniversary we thought it would be a fun time to announce it!

The painting in question is hanging on the north wall of Zachary’s Grand Lake (the wall on your right when you walk in). You’ll need to use your own ingenuity to identify the correct painting which presents a puzzle that’ll direct you to one of 15 $10 digital Zachary’s gift cards online. You will need to enter your email address to claim a found gift card which will be emailed to you by the artist.

PLEASE READ FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

1.) You must provide your email address to claim a digital gift card. If you solve the puzzle, you cannot opt for cash or a physical card at the restaurant. The gift cards are only redeemable from the artist himself who will email you a digital card.

2.) Only one gift card can be redeemed within a 24hr period. The site will automatically update. Be sure to try again the next day if you solve the puzzle but that days gift card has already been claimed!

3.) DO NOT touch the artwork. Nothing is written on the back, nothing is in the frame, there is nothing under the glass.

4.) Do not climb on anything. The hunt is perfectly solvable with two feet planted on the ground.

5.) Art can only be studied during Zachary’s Grand Lake business hours. Sunday to Monday, 11am-8:30pm, Friday and Saturday 11:00am to 9pm.

6.) Participants must follow the guidance of Zachary’s employees. This includes taking a break from studying artwork so the line can move efficiently when we get busy.

7.) Since this treasure hunt is organized and hosted by the winning artist and artwork specific, it’s only taking place at Zachary’s Grand Lake.

All of us at Zachary’s and our anonymous artist hopes this treasure hunt inspires our community to always be creative and generous ❤️ Happy treasure hunting!

We are donating 20% of sales from the Matt’s Special to the Stanford Cancer Institute in support of one of our longstanding customers currently battling cancer. Pizza with a Purpose: Support Our Special Fundraiser for the Stanford Cancer Institute.

We’re coming together in support of one of our long-standing customers who is currently battling cancer. This month we’ll be featuring their favorite pizza combo as a fundraiser special for cancer research. The Matt’s Special is artichoke, pesto, and free-range chicken breast with mozzarella cheese. We’ll be donating 20% of sales from its sales to the Stanford Cancer Institute. The Stanford Cancer Institute is dedicated to discovering cancer’s causes and treatments, and applying that knowledge to improved diagnostic, therapeutic and prevention strategies.

We invite you to join us in supporting a great organization and know that besides enjoying a super delicious pizza, you’ll also help provide necessary resources and hope to those in need.
