PIZZA SPECIALS: HOT LINK AND ZACHARY’S WESTERN

Filled with Italian sausage, onion, bacon and our sweet-smokey barbecue sauce (in addition to Zachary’s pizza sauce), this yummy combination is sure to please. This pizza was dreamed up by Regional Manager Luis Ibarra!

ZACHARY’S CLOSED ON FOURTH OF JULY

ZACHARY’S MUSIC ON THE PATIO – PLEASANT HILL

We are excited to be able to host such a fantastic line up of talented artists! In celebration of our patio music evenings, we also prepare our deliciously fruity Sangria! Come join us for some yummy adult beverages (we have Shirley Temples too!), your favorite Zachary’s pizza and some phenomenal local musicians!

ZACHARY’S ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: LORI AND MICHAEL WALLACE

We held our first art contest in the late 1980′s and the tradition has continued every couple of years to this day. We love our art and the artists. Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Madison Zuniga!

“My son, William (13 yrs old) and I are deeply grateful to Zachary’s for the joy it brings to our lives.  Not only the DELICIOUS gluten free pizza (thank you, thank you!), but also the connection it weaves through community.  We have monitored the art contest for years and have waited for the opening where time and creative spark would coincide and bring us to this moment of participation.  And here we are! The inspiration behind this piece was to weave in the theme of “shared love”.  What better depiction of shared love than a wedding day and the site of a loving groom feeding his delighted bride a slice of Zachary’s deep dish?!  Love IS Zachary’s Pizza.
My family and I LOVE Zachary’s pizza for not only the great flavors, but for the feeling of being seen and appreciated in our community surrounding Solano Avenue.  My son, who is 13 years old, and I are creative and take up any chance we can to be expressive with our hands, and thanks to Zachary’s Art Contest, we spent hours together creating our design and perfecting it for submission. Creating the piece and then seeing it hanging on the wall near our favorite table every time we head into Zach’s on Saturday night for pizza and movie night, are memories we will cherish forever.  Thank you Zachary’s for being a source of nourishment to our bodies and souls!!”

CONTRA COSTA AND SOLANO COUNTY FOOD BANK

The Food Bank serves over 190,000 people each month. Last year, the food bank delivered over 20 million pounds of food to people in need in Contra Costa and Solano counties. Our energetic group of volunteers was excited to lend a hand (or many hands) for the morning. Zachary’s Community Outreach Coordinator, Robin Smith, organized the event. Smith said, “I was really impressed with how much bigger the organization is and how many families they are able to service in a month. ZACHARY’S WINS BEST PIZZA FROM OAKLAND MAGAZINE

“Za-Curry’s” Chicken Pizza

The NBA Finals are here! That means that our pizza-homage to the Warriors is back! The “Za-Curry’s” Chicken Pizza will be on our menu until the Dubs take the title! This super fun special has curry spiced chicken and onions, golden raisins and mozzarella cheese. It’s only available as a thin crust pizza in Oakland and Berkeley. Let’s go Oakland, let’s go!

The thin pizza is topped with our sweet-smokey barbecue sauce. The stuffed pizza is topped with our sweet-smokey barbecue sauce AND our delicious, chunky tomato sauce. This pizza is packed with flavor; it’s sure to satisfy all of your recent Zachary’s cravings!

SPRUCING UP SOLANO AVENUE

We are so excited!

Why a Parklet?

  1. There is very little public space on Solano Avenue. The parklet will have seating for about 25 people.
  2. The parklet will help reduce some of the traffic safety concerns on Solano Ave.
  3. The parklet beautifies the street!

What about Parking?

Two parking spaces are being added across the street from the theater building. There is NO NET LOSS of PARKING on Solano Avenue.

Other Information About the Parklet

  • It’s a public space!
  • It is Berkeley’s fourth parklet and is a part of the city’s pilot parklet program.
  • Zachary’s will not serve food on the parklet because it is a public space. Customers are more than welcome to order food to go and eat it on the parklet (when construction is complete!).
