Big news, trivia lovers: one of our most popular community events is making its way to Livermore.

Pizza Mind Trivia has been a long-standing favorite at Zachary’s Grand Lake, bringing together neighbors, families, coworkers, and friendly rivals for nights filled with laughs, pizza, and the occasional “I can’t believe I knew that!” moment. Now we’re thrilled to bring that same experience to our Livermore community.

Join us for our launch night on Thursday, July 16 at 6:30pm with our host Robert (of course!) leading the fun. Expect creative questions, plenty of laughs, and just enough competition to keep things interesting.

Whether you’re assembling your dream trivia team or flying solo, everyone is welcome. Groups are limited to 6 and a food or beverage purchase is required to play.

Make it a monthly tradition! After our kickoff event, Pizza Mind Trivia Livermore will happen every 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm at Zachary’s Livermore.

Our Oakland guests have made Pizza Mind Trivia something truly special over the years, and we’re excited to build that same sense of community here in Livermore. The Zachary’s Art Contest is back in full force! From June 8th to August 30th, submit your best, most creative, fun, and unique Zachary’s inspired artwork for the chance to be featured on the walls of our restaurants.

The Zachary’s Art Contest is open to all ages and can be individual work or group collaborations- including school classrooms! Artwork should be inspired by Zachary’s and include our name and/or logo. We love artwork with a human touch- pastels, acrylics, oils! Original artwork is preferred over A.I. Zachary’s Art Contest winners will receive a $200 Zachary’s Gift Certificate and a Zachary’s T-Shirt. To view some of our past winners you can visit our Pizza Art under the About Us tab.

All submissions (both hand-drawn and digital) must be in one of the following sizes no exceptions:

Artwork submissions must also include a completed Art Contest Rules & Entry form. Forms are available at all locations, or you can download one HERE. Hard-drawn artwork must be on paper heavy enough for matting, but please do not mat artwork yourself. Zachary’s will mount and frame all winning entries. Artwork can be turned in at any Zachary’s location or digital artwork can be submitted to artcontest@zacharys.com.

In April we celebrated two major milestones- Martin’s 20th Anniversary and Darren’s 15th! 🤩

Martin joined our Oakland and Berkeley kitchen team in 2006, before transferring to San Ramon and eventually making the move with us to Pleasanton in 2021. A true rock in the kitchen, Martin brings serious expertise to every shift. Just as important, he keeps things running smooth with his calm, cool, collected vibe when it matters most.

Darren joined our San Ramon kitchen team back in 2011 and stepped into management in 2018. He’s helped lead our teams in Pleasant Hill and Pleasanton, and most recently he helped with the opening of Zachary’s Livermore. Darren brings hard work and dedication to our team, with just a little bit of mischief mixed in 😉

Congrats to both Martin and Darren on major milestones with us! We can’t imagine our team without them and are so grateful for their 35 combined years of dedication, hard work, and true pizza grit ❤️🥂

This Valentine’s Day, we’re bringing back the love with heart shaped pizzas. Crispy, cheesy, and baked fresh to order, our heart-shaped pizzas are made with a little extra love for the sweetest (and most delicious) way to show you care. However you celebrate love (romantic, friendly, furbally, self-love) our heart-shaped pies are made to share- or not!  After all, nothing says “I love you” quite like pizza…and nothing says “I love me” like keeping the last slice for yourself 😉

Heart-shaped pizzas will be available exclusively on Valentine’s Day and while supplies last. Heart-shaped pizzas will be thin crust only and medium sized. They will be available for both dine-in and takeout and as fully baked or half-baked pizzas. Since these are special order pizzas, there is no half-and-half option and heart-shaped pizzas are not available via third-party delivery companies.

October is National Employee-Ownership Month- and here at Zachary’s that’s something that’s close to our hearts.

To help us celebrate the month we’re highlighting an employee-owner who recently reached a milestone with us. Edwin celebrated 15 years with Zachary’s in September! In 2010, Edwin joined Zachary’s as part of our San Ramon kitchen crew. From the very beginning, his work ethic, positivity, and team spirit shined. Over the years, Edwin has grown with company. First making the move from San Ramon to Pleasanton with us, then becoming a kitchen supervisor, and finally, joining our management team. Through it all, he’s brought that same dedication and energy every step of the way. His path reflects the heart of what it means to be an employee-owned company- working hard, supporting one another, and always striving to be our best.

We’re deeply thankful for Edwin and his15 years (and counting!) of contributions to Zachary’s and look forward to celebrating many more milestones to come with him!

One of our favorite community events of the year is almost here- the Solano Stroll!

On Sunday, September 14th, from 10am to 5pm, Solano Ave will be filled with music, entertainment, local vendors, and lots of friends and neighbors enjoying one of the Bay Area’s biggest street festivals.

We’ll be taking part in the action by selling stuffed Spinach & Mushroom slices (as well as thin-crust Cheese & Pepperoni!) from 11am to 4pm out of our North Berkeley restaurants front window. You can enjoy one on the parklet in front of the restaurant or take one to munch on while you stroll the festival!

Please note that Solano Ave will be closed to traffic until 5:30pm. Our dining room will be closed until 4:30pm- but don’t worry, we’ll be open for takeout all day!

After the Stroll winds down, head inside and relax with us for a cozy dine-in dinner. There’s no better way to end a day filled with family-friendly fun on Solano than sharing a pizza together 🍕

From a single, small pizza shop in Rockridge on College Avenue, to now 5 locations (and counting 😉), over 250 ‘Best Pizza’ Awards, and becoming 100% employee-owned, our journey has been one of hard work, dedication, and the deepest of gratitude.

We are endlessly thankful to our wonderful customers, our local communities, and the generations of folks who’ve supported us, dined with us, and then shared us with the next generation 🩷 Not to mention all the folks who have worked with us and helped shape who we are over these past 42 years!
