Do you deliver?
Delivery is available via our third-party delivery partners DoorDash and Uber Eats. Availability varies by location. We want to inform our customers that restaurant delivery services almost always add high surcharges to menu items as well as delivery fees. We also offer take-out, online ordering for pickup, and dine in.
Can I order a partially cooked pizza to finish at home?
Ordering a pizza half-baked is a great option if you don’t want to eat our pizza right away. We will partially cook your pizza and you can finish cooking it at your convenience. We stock a few “grab-n-go” half-baked options at all five locations. These sell on a first come, first served basis. If you have a special half-baked pizza in mind, please call ahead to place your order.
Side note: Zachary’s half-baked pizzas travel well! Customers regularly drive and fly pizzas all across the country- and even overseas! Bring some Bay Area pizza love to your far-away friends and family.
How do I cook a half-baked pizza?
- Make sure the pizza is at room temperature. Do not take the pizza directly from refrigeration and try to cook it!
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Take the pizza out of the box and slide it from the cardboard circle onto a buttered cookie sheet.
- Place the pizza on the middle rack of the oven and bake it until it becomes golden brown.
- Thin pizzas will cook in 10-15 minutes. Stuffed pizzas will cook in 15-20 minutes.
**We do not recommend freezing our pizzas!
Do you take reservations?
Yes, we do!
At Zachary’s Rockridge, North Berkeley, Pleasant Hill and Pleasanton, seating is first come, first served on Friday evenings and Saturday all day. For all other times a limited amount of reservations are accepted. Zachary’s Grand Lake happily accepts reservations all day, every day of the week! If you’re making a reservation for 6 or fewer you can do so via the links below. For reservations of more than 6, please call us directly.
Can I place an order over the phone and then come to dine in the restaurant?
We take dine-in orders over the phone 11 am- 4 pm only. We encourage you to order in advance, but the seating is first come, first served. After 4 pm we are only able to accept take-out orders over the phone. If there is a wait for tables when you arrive, you will be able to order your pizza after you receive an estimated wait time.
What is the difference between Zachary’s STUFFED & THIN pizza?
Not to be confused with “Sicilian” style, “Stuffed Crust” or other “deep dish” pizzas, Zachary’s Stuffed Chicago Style pizza is something else altogether. A thin layer of our house made pizza dough is tucked into a deep dish pizza pan. We fill the pie with the highest quality cheese and any combination of fresh toppings. Another thin layer of dough is then added to cover the filling. The pizza is then topped with our zesty, diced tomato sauce and is slowly cooked in our oven. The top layer of dough will melt into the cheese and seal in flavor as our flaky, buttery crust bakes until it is golden brown. Allow 30-40 minutes for Stuffed Pizzas.
Zachary’s THIN Style pizza is a great choice for those who prefer a more traditional pizza. Our fresh, house made pizza dough is rolled to a moderate thickness and dusted with cornmeal. A specially seasoned, hearty diced tomato sauce is then applied along with the ingredients you choose. Allow 20-30 minutes for Thin Pizzas.
