EXCITING NEWS FROM HOODLINE AND BAY AREA PARENT
Families!! We were voted Silver by Bay Area Parent readers in the “Best Family Restaurants in the Bay Area: East Bay” category! Check out the list of winners here. Woo-hoo!
In other equally exciting news, Hoodline published, “A Slice Above: How San Francisco Ranks Among America’s 50 Best Pizza Spots“. Guess who is number 6?!!! Spoiler alert: San Francisco ranks just as highly as NYC!
We are super excited about both of these pieces of recognition. We love being a fun and comfortable place for families and we are very proud of our Oakland roots. There are lot of fantastic pizza options in the Bay Area. We are flattered and thankful that our customers love us as much as we love them.

In other, also fantastically exciting news, we were voted Best Pizza in California (what??!! woo-hoo!) by Tripping. As part of Tripping’s “America the Beautiful Series” they decided to choose the best pizza from each U.S. state! We’ve got some cross-country road trip plans in our future!
ZACHARY’S WINS BEST PIZZA FROM DIABLO MAGAZINE
We are extremely excited to announce that we won Best Pizza from Diablo Magazine! Check out this list of other food winners. We are humbled to be in such fabulous company. Congrats to all of the winners!
This award is especially meaningful for us because it comes from a fellow ESOP! ESOP stands for Employee Stock Ownership Plan. At the end of 2014, Diablo Publication’s founder, Steven J. Rivera announced that the company was going to be sold to its employees via an ESOP. Zachary’s started its ESOP in 2003 and became 100% employee owned in 2010.
PIZZA SPECIALS: HOT LINK AND ZACHARY’S WESTERN
In Oakland and Berkeley, our super popular and perfectly spicy Hot Link pizza is back! This pie has sliced Louisiana Hot Link sausage, fresh cilantro and mozzarella cheese. It’s available stuffed or thin for a limited time only!
In San Ramon and Pleasant Hill, we’ve still got the delightfully meaty Zachary’s Western! Filled with Italian sausage, onion, bacon and our sweet-smokey barbecue sauce (in addition to Zachary’s pizza sauce), this yummy combination is sure to please. This pizza was dreamed up by Regional Manager Luis Ibarra!

ZACHARY’S ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: LORI AND MICHAEL WALLACE
The walls of our restaurants are filled with one-of-a-kind Zachary’s Pizza Art. We held our first art contest in the late 1980′s and the tradition has continued every couple of years to this day. We love our art and the artists. Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Madison Zuniga!
