LIMITED TIME SPECIALS: BUFFALO CHICKEN AND SUPER VEGGIE

Close-up of a pizza topped with pepperoni, chunks of grilled chicken, and melted cheese. The crust appears golden and crispy, with a sprinkling of herbs. The pizza is on a plate on a wooden table. We have a new special in Oakland and Berkeley! It’s the Buffalo Chicken Pizza! This spicy special is made with our free-range chicken breast flavored with a cayenne pepper “wing sauce”, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese and topped with our house-made blue cheese dressing. This pizza is available stuffed and thin crust for a limited time!

Our CEO (Kevin) grew up in Buffalo, NY and drew inspiration for this pizza from the sauce of his homeland. Kevin writes, “Growing up in Buffalo, pizza night always meant pepperoni pizza and a bucket of chicken wings with blue cheese dressing. The flavor of Buffalo wings and pepperoni pizza work really well together, so I figured why not try combining those flavors on our pizza?”

We think you will enjoy this combination just as much as Kevin did as a kid in Buffalo.

Don’t worry, Pleasant Hill and San Ramon are getting some pizza love too! One of our most popular specials, Super Veggie, is back! It’s veggie-packed with zucchini, yellow squash, red bell peppers, broccoli and white corn on wheat crust with yellow cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. It’s available stuffed and thin and it is a treat! This is an easy (read: delicious) way to get some veggies in your life during this hectic holiday season.

SUMMER FUN: SPROUTS COOKING CLASS AT ZACHARY’S

Two children are making pizzas at a table. The boy, wearing a baseball cap, spreads sauce on dough, while the girl sprinkles toppings. Both are in aprons. Various containers of ingredients are on the table. Bright, colorful walls are in the background. This summer at Zachary’s has been loads of fun! In June, we had the pleasure of hosting two Sprouts Summer Camp cooking classes! A young girl spreading tomato sauce on a pizza crust using a spoon. Shes wearing a colorful apron and sitting at a table with pizza ingredients like sliced cheese and pepperoni nearby. The setting is indoors with red and white walls. This camp lets kids get hands on experience in restaurants and on farms. Their goal is to teach Bay Area kids from all socio-economic backgrounds how to cook.

We got to host a pizza party (what else?)!

The kids got a chance to learn how to make pizzas from our CEO (Kevin has 32 years of pizza-making experience!). They also prepped some veggies, participated in a box-folding competition and sampled their yummy creations. We were super impressed with all of the campers! We might even have some future Zachary’s crew members in the making! Three smiling girls sit at a table with personal-sized pizzas in front of them. They are wearing aprons and appear to be in a restaurant setting with a red wall and framed artwork in the background.
